Biography

Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2003, I worked in the film & TV industry several visual effects, hire and postproduction companies, most notably Onsight, Ascent Media and Smoke & Mirrors.

I studied for a BA (hons) in Media Studies with Film and Video Production at Buckinghamshire New University, graduating in 2002 and my specialist area of interest is Multicamera studio technology including outside broadcast, non-linear editing and kit room organisation. I am very experienced with tapeless workflow systems, HD studio cable patching, live lighting and location sound recording. I also do occasional freelance work as a camera operator and teleprompt operator when I can fit this around commitments at Buckinghamshire New University.

I am a member of HEA, holding an Associate Fellowship since 2018.

My specialist knowledge and experience has led me to work with the following clients and companies: Levi Roots (creator of Reggae Reggae Sauce), Sky Sports, Watford Football Club, Wycombe Wanderers Football Club, Reading Football Club, Sennheiser, the Henley Rowing Club, Stagecoach Theatre Arts School, Help for Heroes, CTV, Channel 4, ITV, the NHS and the BBC.

My greatest accolade to date is arranging and filming interviews with the football legends Gianfranco Zola and Chris Kamara whilst filming live football at Watford FC’s football ground, Vicarage Road.
