Mariëtte Uys

Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in January 2013, I worked as a Social Worker and Social Work Team Manager and assessed students in practice learning placements.

I studied for my B.Soc.Sc Social Work at The University of the Orange Freestate in South Africa. I have also completed by Approved Mental Health Professional and Best Interest Assessor Qualification with Bournemouth University.

I am a member of Social Work England.

I am passionate about supporting students and learners in developing their skills and knowledge and relating practice to theory to ensure future Social Workers are equipped to fulfil this rewarding role.
