Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2025, I was a Lecturer and Course Leader at London School of Science and Technology. Previously I worked as Assistant Professor at the School of Governance and Society – University of Management and Technology (Lahore, Pakistan).

I studied for my PhD in Politics at the University of Westminster and my specialist areas of interest and research are currently in Climate Politics, Feminist and Postcolonial approaches to global social and political issues. I am also interested in societal and political issues in South Asia, with a focus on Pakistan. Focusing on the diversity and complexity of South Asia societies has contributed towards expanding my interdisciplinary approach to social and political issues elsewhere.

I am a member of BISA (British International Studies Association), ISA (International Studies Association), and EISA (European International Studies Association). I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
