Karen Satterford

Biography

Karen Satterford is an experienced Chief Executive of nearly 18 years. She is the former CE of Wycombe Council, the third largest district council in the country, serving a population of 180,000 with an annual turnover of £120m.

She led the £0.5billion regeneration programme for Wycombe, overseeing the development of new retail, leisure, hotels, offices, coachway park and ride, care homes, town centre improvements and housing. She was previously involved in the development of Terminal 5, then the largest construction project in Europe. Her background is in environmental management.

Karen is an experienced coach and mentor, with national and international board level clients in public, private and charity sectors. She is a Technical Assessor for CE recruitment nationally and is also a charity trustee. She graduated from UCL with a BSc in Anthropology, and has a postgraduate DMS from the  University of Hertfordshire Business School.

Karen lives in High Wycombe and her hobbies include travel, theatre, cinema and walking the Chilterns.
