Biography

Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2022, I was working as an airline pilot flying the Airbus A330 for Hong Kong Airlines. Prior to that, I was selected by Cathay Dragon to join their fully sponsored Cadet Pilot Programme, where I obtained my MPL and ATPL, and flew the Airbus A320/1. I have also been heavily involved in the education industry, and I have been the Head of Education Development in various education groups both in the United Kingdom and Hong Kong.

I started off with my Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Adelaide, and later studied for my Bachelor of Laws at the City University of Hong Kong. I have also studied European Competition Law and Policy at the University of Oxford (University College). My specialism has enabled me to have an in-depth understanding of global aviation regulation with an added industry-specific experience.

I am a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society.

My specialist knowledge has led me to work with organisations such as the British Council on projects helping to bridge institutions and education groups in the United Kingdom with countries around the world in higher education.

My career highlight is to become the Cadet Pilot Recruitment Ambassador and Second Officers’ mentor for my airlines. My passion for education and my experience in aviation have allowed me to hold recruitment talks at various Universities in Hong Kong, and to help new junior pilots navigate their way in the cockpit.
