Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2025, I spent over a decade in the live events industry. My career has spanned freelance roles, founding and leading an events staffing company, and delivering large-scale projects, including stadium tour staffing fulfilment and seasonal light trails across the UK.

I studied for my BSc (Hons) in Events Management and my MSc in Tourism & Events Management at Canterbury Christ Church University, where I also lectured virtually during the COVID years. My specialist areas of interest are workforce wellbeing, sustainability, and welfare in the events industry. These themes sit at the heart of my company’s values and continue to shape both my professional practice and future research.

I am a member of the Association for Events Management Education (AEME) through The Occasionall Group.

My industry knowledge has led me to work on major tours and projects with some of the world’s leading artists and brands, most recently including Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres sustainability-focused tour endeavours.

My career highlight to date has been the transition from Managing Director to Founding Director of my company in order to pursue a career in academia, allowing me to bring live industry experience directly into the classroom and for others to deliver on my vision.
