With a career spanning several decades across IT service management, information security, and strategic project leadership, he brings a depth of practical and academic insight to his teaching at Buckinghamshire New University.

Holding industry‑leading certifications—including CISSP, CISM, and ISO 27001 Lead Auditor—James combines rigorous theoretical knowledge with extensive real‑world experience. James played a central role in redesigning the university’s Digital Leadership Module, expanding its scope to include cyber security, privacy & OSINT, insider risk, and applied case studies to strengthen students’ understanding of emerging threats and professional practices.
