Greg Martin


Before I joined Buckinghamshire New University in 2024 as a Senior Lecturer I was working as an Associate Lecturer at BNU and UAL on both BA Creative Advertising and MA Creative Advertising courses, alongside working as a freelance consultant. 

My career started as an Art Director at Abbott Mead Vickers and after 10 years there I went on to become a Creative Director at Saatchi & Saatchi, Leo Burnett and JWT. 

I studied advertising at Berkshire College of Art and Design in the 1980s and my specialist skills are Creative strategy, Conceptual copy and art direction, Content creation, and Creative Direction.

I am a member of D&AD and my 30 plus years of working in the advertising industry has given me in depth knowledge and experience of creating multimedia campaigns in a wide range of marketing categories. My career highlight to date is winning the Cannes Lions Media Grand Prix for Multiple Sclerosis awareness. Other notable achievements include winning a Cannes Lions Film Gold and a D&AD Yellow Pencil for Alka Seltzer.
