Evangelina Thomadaki

Biography

Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in (September 2022, I was for six and half years Head of 3D Design, Fashion Design Tutor, and Enterprise Development Coordinator at the International School of Creative Arts (ISCA). Before this, I held a position as Head of Fashion Design and Senior Lecturer in Fashion Design at the London College of Contemporary Arts. (LCCA). I was a course leader for four years for the MSc in Fashion Technology, -a validated programme by the University of Wales. Other teaching experiences include working at Ravensbourne University London as a visiting lecturer in pattern cutting, Guest Speaker for MA Fashion Promotion, MA Fashion Design and MA Fashion Styling at Birmingham City University.

I studied for my BA (Hons) in Fashion Design and MA in Fashion at (Surrey Institute of Art and Design) PgCert in Innovative Pattern cutting at Central Saint Martins (UAL) area of interest is exploring the dandified personal through contemporary fashion.

I am a member of UKFT and Ethical Fashion Forum.

I have been working as a design consultant for ready-to-wear and bridalwear. My specialist pattern-making knowledge has led me to work with leading designers, including Vivienne Westwood. Also, I worked for high street suppliers as a Creative Pattern Cutter, some of the companies they were supplying to are M&S, Miss Selfridge, Dunnes, TK Max and many more. With a strong background in design and pattern cutting, I worked as a design consultant in planning and launching the work of new designers during London Fashion Week. In 2009 I founded my label of bridal and womenswear, which has appeared in leading fashion magazines, including British Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar.
