Biography

Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2016, I was working as a professional accountant and tax advisor providing services to corporate bodies as well as the self-employed. Prior to that I had had 8 years’ experience teaching in various professional educational institutions for ACCA, CIMA and ABE courses in London and surroundings.

I studied for my MSc at London South Bank University and my specialist area of interest is Financial Intermediation through Microfinance in the developing world. It is interesting because it gave me the opportunity to understand the enormity of lack of finance for small-medium businesses and how Non-governmental Organisations offer financial intermediation to alleviate poverty in the developing world.

I am a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).

My specialist knowledge has led me to work with business clients on their finances and their tax affairs. It has also given me the opportunity to meet and work with various professionals through professional bodies such as ACCA, CIMA, IFA, ICAEW in offering solutions to industry and professional problems.
