My interests are in mental health and wellbeing because how often do we question whether we are meeting our own and our loved ones' requirements in order to thrive and live satisfying lives? To keep a car operating, we must fill it with petrol, check the water and oil levels often and inflate the tyres, so being mentally healthy, or having good mental health, is more than just the absence of illness; it is a state of general wellbeing.

With that in mind, I enrolled as a mature student at BNU in 2019 and completed my BSc (Hons) Counselling Psychology programme in 2023. Following graduation, I began working for BNU as a staff member in the Paramedic Science Team, where we diligently work together to ensure that our students have ample support and opportunities to participate in wellbeing activities during their three years at BNU. I collaborate closely with lecturers to support our students, setting up ambulance placements and making sure the course is administered effectively for the greatest possible learning environment.
