Biography
  • I am a Senior Lecturer and Course Leader at the College of Leadership and Innovation. Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2025, I was a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Bedfordshire. Prior to that, I worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Stockholm Environment Institute, University of York, where I contributed to the Sustainable Manufacturing and Environmental Pollution (SMEP) programme.

I hold a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria, an MSc (with Distinction) in Environmental Science from Lancaster University, and a PhD in Environmental Research (Policy & Management) from Imperial College London.

My research is interdisciplinary, focusing on mineral active regions (MARs), natural resource management, and the business–environment–sustainability nexus, which I explore through systems thinking and other pragmatic inquiry techniques.

I am passionate about how research output informs policies and practices, and its interaction with institutions, which is critical to driving meaningful societal change. I am also deeply committed to public engagement and outreach and actively seek to contribute to knowledge exchange across academic and non-academic sectors.

I have published in peer-reviewed journals, contributed to technical reports, and presented papers at national and international conferences.

I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and a Certified Management and Business Educator (CMBE).

My specialist knowledge led me to work on the SMEP programme, established by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and implemented by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).

I am the recipient of several awards and scholarships, including the Best Graduating Student Prize in Biochemistry (BSc), the President’s National Youth Service Corps Honours Award (the highest honour conferred on a Nigerian youth), Presidential Scholarship, and the Imperial Plus Award for service as a PhD representative at Imperial College London.

I would welcome the opportunity to discuss research interests and collaboration.
