New MSc Diagnostic Radiography gets the green light at BNU

A new MSc in Diagnostic Radiography (pre-registration) has now received accreditation at Buckinghamshire New University, becoming the first of its kind in the Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire region.

The two-year full-time course will see its first cohort of students through the doors in September 2023. The intake will be a small group, providing an enhanced and personalised learning experience for those enrolled.

BNU is linked with a number of local healthcare trusts, including Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust and Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, with whom delivery of this course will be partnered. Clinical teams from around the region have worked closely with the University to build a cohesive program with the student at the centre, and students attending placements at these Trusts will be working alongside leaders in the field of medical imaging.

There is currently a shortage of radiographers in the region and the new course provides an opportunity to increase the clinical capacity of radiographers and help to retain the valuable professionals once they qualify.

Diagnostic radiography is a dynamic and rewarding profession that allows you to make a real difference in people’s lives.
I’m thrilled to be launching this course, the first in the region, and to be partnering with Trusts which are renowned for their medical, surgical, and research expertise across the country.
