We’re excited to share that Buckinghamshire New University has officially completed the purchase of the former Uxbridge Library building from Hillingdon Council, creating a new centre for teaching and learning in the heart of Uxbridge.

The High Street building was handed over on Tuesday 24 February, and we’re now getting ready to transform it into our Uxbridge campus.

The refurbished building will host courses primarily in health, business and digital.

The former library has always been a place of learning, and we’re proud to continue that tradition in a new way. By bringing BNU into the centre of Uxbridge, we’re making higher education more accessible for learners and creating new opportunities to study closer to home.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Damien Page, said: “We’re delighted to be bringing BNU to the heart of Uxbridge. The former library has a proud history of supporting learning, and we’re excited to reimagine it as a centre for innovation and educational excellence that serves students, partners and the wider community.

“Our ambition is to create a welcoming, modern space that promotes high-quality education, innovation and wellbeing, while contributing to the life and energy of the High Street. We look forward to working closely with the council, local businesses and residents to develop a campus that reflects Uxbridge’s potential and benefits everyone in the community.”

We’re looking forward to becoming part of the High Street community and playing our part in supporting local skills, careers and business growth. Watch this space for more updates as the new Uxbridge campus takes shape.
