A free place on the PG Certificate in Business Leadership course

Class of 2020 – Post Graduate Certificate in Business Leadership

The Post Graduate Certificate in Business Leadership is an online, distance learning programme, covering a nine-month period starting on 1 September. You will study four modules as listed below:

  • Marketing Strategy in an “always-on” world: Learn how to research, analyse and develop strategy, with a view to adding value and building differentiation in the marketplace. Assessed by coursework and presentation.
  • Leading, Managing and Developing Talent: Develop a critical understanding of the contribution that talent management can offer to organisations, while exploring alternative approaches to leadership, management and development. Assessed by coursework.
  • Strategic Leadership: Learn how to successfully embed a sense of strong and purposeful leadership into a business and understand how leadership and strategic decision making can be effectively implemented to bring business success. Asses by coursework.
  • Project Management: Examine the critical aspects of good project management; requirements, prioritisation, budget, resources, risk and deadlines – why gaining experience of project management techniques and industry standard methodologies. Assessment by coursework and exam.
Requirements

This is open to graduates of all disciplines, not only business. The introductory module will introduce students from all disciplines to the world of business, encouraging exploration of how commercial success can be achieved in sectors relevant to their undergraduate subject and in other areas of interest.

Applicants to the programme will be expected to possess the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree (with Honours), with a 2:2 classification or better, and have the required standard of English language competency (for example, evidenced by having IELTS 6.5). You will also need to be in good standing with the University.
