Tracey Sherwood

Biography

I have more than thirty years of experience in commercial photography for advertising and publications. My work now is primarily food photography, though there are few situations and objects that I have not been fortunate enough to photograph. In addition to running my own studio, I have been a partner in a photographic image library which has sold work internationally. Throughout my career, I have worked on interesting and challenging commissions for many household names, supplying images for packaging, magazines, books and promotions.

Alongside my business interests, I have taught within the HE sector for a number of years and, as a member of the HEA, have been involved in course development and workshop delivery.  As a STEM Ambassador,  I have devised specialist initiatives for schools, colleges and charities such as the Princes Trust.

My work within industry has always Informed my teaching practice and I have a clear understanding of the skills and dedication required to sustain successful creative businesses. I am keen to share this wealth of knowledge with the next generation of creative professionals at Buckinghamshire New University.
