Biography

Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2024, I worked at the University of Wolverhampton where I led the Law School specialising in Equity and Trusts, Property Law, and International Business Law. I was responsible for course delivery on the LLB and LLM as well as developing courses for international markets. I have extensive experience of admissions and outreach and developing international partnerships. I have taught in a number of countries through partnerships with India, China, Kenya, Poland and the Middle East.

I studied for my LLB at Coventry University and was awarded a First Class honours. At Warwick University, I studied for a LLM in International Economic Law and was awarded the Lord Rootes Scholarship and my specialist area of interest and research is in Chancery and Commercial Law. I have significant contributions to journals and I have published two major textbooks in these areas. I am also a member of Society of Legal Scholars.

My specialist knowledge has led me to work with major stakeholders in the legal profession such as the Crown Prosecution Service, the Environmental Agency, The Legal Education and Training Review and the regulators of the Legal Profession. I have a good network of connections with providers of legal services.

My greatest accolade to date is my 5th Edition of my textbook on Equity and Trusts which adopts an inclusive approach to the study of a complex area of law.
