Before I joined Buckinghamshire New University in 2021, I was working in a senior leadership position as divisional lead / Head of Department in midwifery and radiography at City, University of London; in addition to this role I was also a senior lecturer in radiotherapy and oncology.
I have over 21 years’ experience as a therapeutic radiographer, with over 10 years’ experience in academia and senior management. I also have international experience working clinically and lecturing in the United States and Australia.
I am a member of the Society & College of Radiographers and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. I am also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Member of the Academy of Medical Educators.
My research interests are in advanced practice, consultant practice and practice education. I studied for my PhD in Radiography at City, University of London, with a focus on evaluating the impact of the consultant therapeutic radiographer role in clinical practice.
