Lee Newitt

Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2019, I was the Managing Director of one of the first educational coaching companies in the UK. Prior to this, however, I was a senior school leader and teacher in both mainstream and special needs settings, contributing to numerous successful projects and outcomes.

I studied for my MSc at Buckinghamshire New University and my specialist area of interest is across Narrative, Existential and Transpersonal Psychology, focusing on Psychospiritual Transformation. My life journey has been one of exploring ‘Who I am really?’ and ‘What am I here to be?’ both personally and professionally.

My specialist knowledge has led me to work with psychologists such as Andrew Machon, Matthew Smith, Paul Wong and Piers Worth on writing projects such as the book ‘Positive Psychology Across the Lifespan: An Existential Perspective’ and also in creating a new PGCert/MA in Nature, Spirituality & Mental Health starting 2023.

A career highlight is receiving an invitation from the Prime Ministers Office of Dubai, inviting me to speak with Lesley Lyle at Dubai’s ‘Happiness Journey 2018’.
