I joined Buckinghamshire New University in October 2019, as the Course Leader for BSc Intelligence Analysis and Management and MSc Critical Infrastructure Security. Prior to this, I had worked primarily for the British Military and Civil Service.
I attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 1997 and was initially commissioned into the British Army’s Educational and Training Service. I then transferred to the Royal Air Force Police where I worked across the security and intelligence management fields; enhancing the protection of defence aviation and naval assets in the UK and overseas. On leaving the armed forces, I worked in the critical infrastructure sector as a security regulator for the UK’s national civil nuclear regulator. My final role, before joining Bucks, was with the UK Ministry of Defence facilitating business transformation activities.
I hold a MA in Intelligence and International Relations and a MSc in Security and Risk Management. In 2017, I was awarded a fully funded scholarship by the MOD to study for a part-time Master of Business Administration, with Cranfield University, graduating in 2019.
I’m a Member of the Security Institute and the chair of my local running club; regularly participating in competitive cross-country and half marathon events. You’ll find me at a Park Run event every Saturday morning.
