Dr John Mariampillai

I joined Buckinghamshire New University in 2017 as a senior lecturer. I teach marketing strategy and research methods/dissertation modules in BNU's graduate programmes (IMBA). Prior to joining Buckinghamshire New Univerity, I have held various academic and HE leadership roles at various UK HEIs.  I completed my PhD at University of West London in 2014, and my research interests and recent academic publications are in the areas of private-public partnerships and internationalisation, with a specific focus on marketisation of higher education.

I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a certified member of the Market Research Society. Additionally, I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.  

I entered academia in 2008. Prior to this, I held various roles in customer relationship management and marketing within financial services and hybrid organisations such as British Council.
