Ian Harper
I have worked in education and skills for 25 years, in Buckinghamshire since 2000. Much of my previous experience was at a private training provider delivering apprenticeships nationally, becoming Chief Executive in 2010. In 2014 I joined the University to oversee the construction and early years of the Aylesbury Campus, and in 2018 I took over responsibility for the University’s degree apprenticeship provision. Since 2019 I have been Commercial & Business Development Director, with responsibility for Academic Partnerships, Apprenticeships and commercial aspects of University business.
I am heavily involved in local education and skills, holding positions on the LEP Skills Advisory Panel, Buckinghamshire College Group’s governing body and the trustee board for The Pace Centre, a local special school.
