Dr Fiona McCormack

Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 1993, I was a training consultant for hotels and resort staff throughout Europe.

I studied for my PhD at Loughborough University and my specialist area of interest is youth sport and physical activity. It is interesting because sport and physical activity can play such an important role in positive youth development.

My specialist knowledge has led me to work with TASS (Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme) on projects such as FA Women’s Super League Academy at Reading Football Club.

My career highlight is developing the dual career student athlete programme of support at Buckinghamshire New University.
