I am proud to be an International award-winning Interior Designer and Director of Drawing Room Interiors, a successful business I set up 32 years ago. I am also an Associate Consultant for Hammond Care, Dementia Choices, as well as being Ex-President of SBID (Society of British and International Designers) and Ex-Chairman of the Healthcare Design Panel.
I work in the commercial sector, specialising in healthcare projects. From care homes and dental practices, to assisted living and retirement villages, recognised throughout the industry as an expert in implementing evidence-based design. I have been practicing as an Interior Designer since 1986, when I graduated with BA (hons) 3D Design/Interior Design. During this time, I have gained a reputation as a well-recognised and knowledgeable Healthcare Designer. My approach to each project is tailored to the needs of the client.
Throughout my career, in Interior Design, I have worked in different sectors of design including high end residential, hospitality, workplace and education design. I really enjoy my work as a Associate Lecturer of Interior Design and I was thrilled to be awarded West Midland Woman of the Year, 2016 for my contributions to Design Education.
I am a Professional member of Society of British and International Design (SBID) and a Registered Designer of British Institute of Interior Design (BIID).
