Biography

Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2021, I worked as a post-doctoral researcher at two other universities. I have a master’s degree in physiotherapy, MSc and MPhil degrees in psychology and did my PhD in applied health sciences in Canada.

My specialist areas of research are implementation, exercise rehabilitation in people with arthritis in hands and wrists and patient-reported outcome measures in musculoskeletal conditions. Over the past two decades I have gained varied experience in the areas of research, teaching and clinical settings. I have been regularly contributing to professional development in the form of peer-reviewed journal publications, small group meetings with patients and physiotherapists, and poster and platform presentations at local, national and international physiotherapy conferences.

I am a registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), British Association of Hand Therapists, and Physiotherapy Research Society.

One of my career highlights is receiving the CSP’s Robert Williams international award for my platform presentations at the World Physiotherapy conference in South Africa, 2017.
