Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2017, I was working as a freelance filmmaker, film studies lecturer, writer, photographer, editor and visual artist in Oxford, London and New York. I continue to work in these areas, as well as wishing to pursue my academic career.
I studied for my master’s at the University of Coventry and beforehand at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. My specialist areas of interest are documentary, screenwriting and new media. I find these areas interesting because of the increasing opportunities that exist to revamp the business models of a time-honoured tradition to better meet the demands of the digital world.
I am a member of The Guild of British Film Editors and The Directors Guild of Great Britain.
My specialist knowledge has led me to work with many varied clients, inspirational political personalities, filmmakers and charity entrepreneurs, and amongst many achievements, I consider working for UNHCR as being one of my greatest accolades.
