Biography

Before I joined Buckinghamshire New University in 2022 I worked as a consultant and Advanced Practitioner, Musculoskeletal (MSK) Sonographer in the radiology department, specialising in diagnostic MSK ultrasound and interventional sonography for few different NHS trusts. I am also active in research and work as manuscript reviewer for ultrasound with British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS). I have taught MSc Sports Exercise in past and teach MSK diagnostic ultrasound to variety of health professionals since last few years.

Prior to this, I have worked as an extended scope practitioner, MSK Physiotherapist, for more than ten years and have a strong clinical background. I did my MSc in Applied MSK Physiotherapy at Sheffield Hallam University in 2008 and have done many master’s modules since then for my continuous professional development (CPD). I have always been passionate about teaching; with special interest in tendon pathologies.

I am a member of HCPC, CSP, BMUS and SOR.

My career highlight to date is my ongoing work with using diagnostic scanning, patient education for treatment guidance and educating health professionals regarding this.
