Al Watkins

I studied for my BA in Graphic Design and Animation at Norwich School of Art in 2003. I love all things graphic design, animation and illustration and my degree opened the door to this world for me (although it may have been the 80s cartoon ‘Thundercats’ which has the best animated intro ever).

After finishing university, I worked in London’s animation industry before moving to Norway to set up and run my own graphic design company. Alongside this, I lectured design at a private art institution in Norway which sparked my love of teaching the subject too. I moved back to the UK in 2017 and joined BNU the following year. Working with students and helping them bring their crazy ideas to life is one of my favourite things to do and I learn as much from them as they learn from me. All problems and challenges welcome!
