At Bucks we believe in making sure that you settle into University life as quickly as possible. However, we are here for you and provide a range of different services to make sure that you don’t feel alone when you arrive at Bucks.
Fresher's Helpers are current students employed during the first two weeks of term to help new students settle into their environment. All the Freshers’ Helpers are existing students who have a wealth of knowledge about the University/accommodation and the local area. Their primary role is to welcome new students to Bucks.
Buddying is a unique scheme, whereby current students contact prospective and new students by text; providing support and guidance. The service is free and run by the University in partnership with the Students’ Union.
The Big Deal offers students the chance to get involved in a broad range of activities from sports, recreational activities, trips and well supported societies to high quality entertainments and special events that suit you. We are offering all Bucks students the chance to get involved in these opportunities FREE of charge. You won’t pay to get into the club and live gigs, you won’t pay to play sport, you won’t pay to take a recreational class – this offer is totally unique in the UK Higher Education Sector.
