Schools and colleges liaison
The main aims of the schools and colleges liaison team are to work with local schools and colleges to promote higher education and make students aware of the different aspects of university life, as well as to provide details of the various courses offered at Bucks.
The team visit schools and colleges to provide a number of activities for students in Y10 to Y13 which are designed to help students understand more about what they might gain from higher education; the different progression opportunities available to them; and how to apply to university. Specific sessions can be organised to suit your particular requirements, and we can also organise activities on campus. We already have a working relationship with a number of schools and colleges, particularly within the areas of: Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, London, Milton Keynes and Oxfordshire. However these areas are not restricted and we would be happy to support your careers and higher education events. We would welcome the opportunity to discuss any ideas you may have as to how we may work together.

Information on HELOA
HELOA is the professional association of staff in higher education who work in the field of education liaison and provide guidance and information to prospective higher education students, their families and advisers. Established in 1990, the Association now has over 700 members from 140 Higher Education Institutions from right across the United Kingdom.
We are an active member of the South East Group of HELOA and take part in events and conferences that are organised by HELOA.
Widening Participation
The team is also involved in the delivery of our widening participation programme with target schools and colleges. Our main aims are:

As part of our team, we have a number of trained student ambassadors who work with us to provide support for the various events that we run. All the student ambassadors are current undergraduates at the University who are on a variety of courses; from Nursing to Air Transport with Commercial Pilot Training.
