The School is home to the following subject areas:
  • production
  • new media & technologies
  • performance.

Strong links with internationally recognised software and hardware manufacturers, theatre companies, and broadcasting networks, ensure the currency all of our programmes of study. Students benefit from regular master classes, site visits, industry-led curriculum design, and useful contacts for future employment. Examples of the companies we currently work with include: leading live mixing console manufacturer - MIDAS; audio signal processing companies - Focusrite and Klark Technik; theatre company in residence -‘Sign Dance Collective’; the world’s top headphone and microphone manufacturer - Sennheiser UK; network infrastructure providers - Cisco Systems; and broadcast equipment manufacturer - Panasonic.

These links are complemented by a committed teaching team with strong industry track records of their own and ongoing involvement in a range of project and consultancy activity that informs their lecture and workshop delivery. Our teaching and assessment prioritises a ‘hands on’, real world approach to learning, in a production environment that boasts some of the very best performance, production and IT facilities in the UK.

Whether you are looking to study at undergraduate or postgraduate level, part-time or full-time, we can ensure that you are ready to ‘hit the ground running’ in the production, performance, and IT industry of your choice.
