The School of Applied Management & Law offers an interesting and wide range of innovative and entrepreneurial courses that have strong links to the industry and professional bodies.

You will find that many of our programmes combine a solid understanding of applied management skills, with an appreciation of the unique nature of the specific industry they serve such as the music, sports, travel, PR or aviation industry. They are delivered by a team of dedicated staff, the majority of whom still work in influential positions in their industry. The result is a teaching approach that prioritises the importance of hands-on management experience.
If you are interested in studying law in its contemporary context and you wish to enter one of the legal professions we offer a wide range of qualifying law degrees , which are recognised by The Law Society and Bar Council of England and Wales. The School has led on the development of programmes in areas such as Music Management, Rugby, Football and Golf programmes, and Commercial Pilot Training courses.
Our MBA and master's programmes in the School are recognised and/or accredited by professional bodies, including the CIPD, CMI and CIPS.
The staff’s constant engagement with employers by undertaking consultancy and applied research with industry means that our programmes and tutors are geared to preparing you for a job and career in your chosen area.
